The purpose of the web page is to disseminate information regarding the Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research 2008 Computer Science Program solicitation for Software Development Tools for Improved Ease-of-Use of Petascale Systems.  Please check back to this page often for updated information.

This solicitation is not to be confused with the Office of Science Annual Notice for unsolicited proposals, DE-PS02-08ER08-01 for new grants or DE-PS02-08ER08-02 for renewals.  For general information on DOE Office of Science funding opportunities, including information for preparing and submitting applications, see the Office of Science Grants and Contracts Web Site.

A Letter of Intent (LOI) to submit a proposal must be submitted.  Applicants should submit the LOI as an e-mail attachment to petascaletools@ascr.doe.gov.  The subject line of the e-mail should be “Letter of Intent for Announcement DE-PS-08ER08-19”.  A fillable form template and additional information about the LOI is provided below.  Please do not include the petascaletools e-mail address in any correspondence between parties. Notification of receipt of the message will not be supplied.  A response either encouraging or discouraging the submission of a proposal will be supplied to the lead PI listed on the LOI only.  Be aware, the messages may be blocked by SPAM and/or junk-mail filters. Please check accordingly before contacting ASCR.  

Deadline for LOI submission was 5:00pm EST, May 12, 2008
