For accomplishments in the development of radiochemical techniques and their application to the solution of a broad range of scientific problems -- including the migration of radioactive waste products from the Oklo natural reactors, the distribution of atmospheric pollution, the flux of solar neutrinos -- and for extensive contributions to nuclear weapons diagnostics and the assessment of nuclear weapons capabilities of other nations.
