The Office of Budget is responsible for budget formulation, presentation, defense, and execution of program budgets managed by the Director, Office of Science, and the program Associate Directors to ensure that actions are consistent with SC, DOE, OMB, and Congressional policies and guidance. The Department of Energy ranks among the top 5 government research organizations that fund science.  The Office of Science funds much of this DOE research.
