a. These general terms and conditions do not restate all the provisions of applicable statutes and regulations, nor do they represent an exhaustive listing of all requirements applicable to this grant.  Rather, they highlight and are consistent with those requirements which are especially pertinent to research grants in general.  They are emphasized by inclusion here because: (1) they are invoked with high frequency; (2) their violation is a matter of especially serious concern (e.g., use of human subjects); (3) restating them in the research context will allow them to be more easily understood by the research community.

    b.  In addition to these general terms and conditions, the grantee must comply with all governing requirements, including those identified in block 18 of DOE F 4600.1, “Notice of Financial Assistance Award,” (NFAA) and those included in the “Special Terms and Conditions” attached to this grant award.
