Karen Talamini joined the Office of the Deputy Director for Science Programs as a Program Analyst in August 2008. Her responsibilities include analytical, planning, and evaluative work pertaining to Office of Science programs and management. She previously served as a Program Analyst and Committee Manager for the Basic Energy Sciences Advisory Committee; as a Program Analyst in the Division of Chemical Sciences, Geosciences, and Biosciences; as a secretary for the Division of Engineering and Geosciences; and in the Division of Cancer Treatment at the National Cancer Institute. She has received several awards for outstanding government service.
